Plans & billing
Scored charges per tournament, once. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and a tournament you never upgrade never costs anything.
Settings > Billing is where all of it lives: the plan this tournament is on, what the other plans add, and every payment you have made for it.
The plans
Section titled “The plans”Every tournament starts on Free and can move up at any point, including mid-event.
| Plan | Teams | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Up to 8 | Full tournament management and your public page |
| Small | Up to 32 | Live scoreboard for venue screens, broadcast overlay, referee scheduling |
| Medium | Up to 64 | Player rosters & lineups, assistant referees |
| Large | No limit | Everything |
Each plan keeps everything the ones below it have. Prices sit on the plan cards in Settings > Billing, in US dollars, and exclude tax.
Upgrading
Section titled “Upgrading”Click Upgrade plan in Settings > Billing, pick the plan you want, and pay by card through Stripe. You come back to Billing when it is done.
You only pay the difference to what you have already paid for that tournament. Going Free to Medium and Small to Medium end up at the same total.
Your plan changes once the payment lands, not when your browser comes back, so the page may say Payment received - activating… for a moment first. If it is still working after five minutes, email support@scored.gg with your tournament name.
If you do not have permission to spend your organization’s money, the plan card reads Ask an organization admin to upgrade instead of the button.
When you run out of room
Section titled “When you run out of room”Adding a team beyond your plan’s limit stops with This tournament’s plan includes up to 8 teams (or 32, or 64). Upgrade and carry on - the teams you already have are never touched.
Anything else your plan does not include shows in place of the feature, saying which plan it starts at, so you always find out before you need it rather than during.
Paying by invoice
Section titled “Paying by invoice”Some organizations cannot pay by card. Email support@scored.gg with your tournament name, the plan you want and your billing address, and we will send an invoice for it.
While the invoice is open you can build the tournament you are paying for - teams up to the new limit, referee scheduling, rosters and assistant referees all open straight away. What waits for payment is the event itself: starting matches and entering results, plus the scoreboard and the overlay. A referee who tries in the meantime is told You can’t start matches or enter results until the upgrade invoice is paid.
Your payments
Section titled “Your payments”The Payments card lists everything you have paid for this tournament, each row marked Paid or Refunded, with a link to the invoice from Stripe for your records. A tournament with nothing to pay reads No payments yet.
Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment, to the address you paid with.
Refunds and promotion codes
Section titled “Refunds and promotion codes”Refunds go through us rather than a button in the app - email support@scored.gg and tell us what happened.
If we have given you a promotion code, enter it on the Stripe payment page while you upgrade. It cannot be added afterwards, or to an invoice.
